Do you have a horse-crazy kid? Are you a middle-aged adult wanting to learn about the art of equestrianism? Is your family wanting to experience a nice fun way to learn horsemanship? Are you a confident rider looking to advance your riding skills?
If the answer to any of those questions is “Yes!”, then Greenmarch farm is the place for you!
Greenmarch Farm is a friendly, safe, fun way to ride and enjoy the beauty of horses, no matter what age or level you are at. The lesson program has a variety of wonderful horses and ponies. The farm has a large outdoor riding arena, an indoor arena that is under construction, multiple cross-country jumps, and gorgeous trails all set in a relaxed environment.
Greenmarch teaches beginner and intermediate English style (not the cowboy style!) lessons. Lesson students learn a classic basic balanced riding position. They follow a skills progression to help create a safe and independent rider. Their main focus is on safety and education of future independent riders.
The main instructor, Julie Graber, holds a degree in Education from Ball State Univerity, is an accredited United States Pony Club instructor and is a home educator. She is an active leader and instructor in horse management and is a lower level riding examiner at the regional level in the Great Lakes Region. Julie also pursues continuing education through a variety of different venues, including USPC and USEF. Her main goal is to make sure the rider is safe, has an enjoyable time, and learns new skills.
Greenmarch Farm offers different lengths and types of lessons depending on skill level, age, and experience. If you have a younger child that just wants to walk around on a pony, yet you would like to have a full lesson, they are more than willing to do “Mommy and me” riding lessons. If you have an older child that is determined and independent, they will provide proper instruction to insure your child has a safe and educational time. They also are open to having family or a groups of friends take lessons.
For the first time, they are offering all-day summer camps where you spend a few days at the farm riding and learning in-depth horsemanship skills and knowledge. This is a great opportunity to allow your kids to really grasp the equine experience. You can also come watch a lesson, or participate in one of their unmounted instruction sessions to check them out!
So if you want to enjoy the beauty of horses and learn the skill of riding in a wonderful way, Greenmarch Farm is perfect!
